> How can I join Nimbit?

Nimbit is currently invite only to ensure quality and performance for existing members. This isn't a play to elicite FOMO, it's simply easier to provide value to 99% of usecases instead of 100%.

To request access, contact us with details about your project and compute needs.

> How are prices so low?

There are a few factors at play which allow us to comfortably charge competive prices:

  • We build our own servers, which is cheaper than buying pre-built.
  • We rack our own servers.
  • We are located in Montreal Québec where the cost of power is lower.
  • We focus on simplicity of operation, automating anything we can.

> How fast is the spin up time?

Bare metal provisioning takes longer than virtual machines as a result of needing to wait for physical hardware initialization (e.g. POST).

We try to maintain setup times of less than a minute for fresh servers. If you are cloning an instance with a large amount of data on it, this could take more time.

> How does support work?

We offer free support from 8am-6pm EST. If you need help you can create a support ticket from the control panel.

Additionally, we encourage users to also reach out to the community for general issues. For instance, if your problem is ubuntu related or related to configuration within Nimbit's datacenter, somebody might have your answer on hand!

> Do you offer custom hosting?

Reach out to us. If we like what you are working on and we have capacity in one of our racks we can work something out.

Good examples for the types of things to reach out about:

  • You are looking to rent a server which is slightly different than the ones we offer. E.g. Servers with high core count / low clock speeds.
  • You would like a GPU in your server. We are currently in the process of scoping out GPU servers, we might be able to collaborate if you are willing to act as our tester.
